Fish and Wildlife
Management
The Ute Tribe Fish and Wildlife Department (F&WD) cooperatively manages over
4 million acres of natural resources in the Uintah Basin. In addition
to conservation of native species, endangered species, game species and
preservation of habitat ; the F&WD offers various sporting opportunities to both tribal
and non tribal members.
Each year, the F&WD makes available big game, waterfowl, upland game,
fishing, camping and boating permits to non tribal members throughout the
reservation.

Non member game permits are distributed through the Ute Tribe
Outfitting and Guide Services, and
non member fishing and camping permits are available through the F&WD-
Fisheries Department and at the Ute Plaza
Grocery Store, located at 7750 E. US HWY 40, Ft. Duchesne, Utah 84026. (435)
